I'll add to this and for the first time I'm listing a name as we need to expose these f'ers. ajforce82. This POS TK'ed me twice tonight on Harpers Ferry for no reason then when I got the message he'd be banned for 6 hours that made me feel better about it.

The bans are based on his steamID - you can't change your steam id so I highly doubt he is hacking. Community members have verified that more people are renaming themselves to that particular name so that is likely how "he" "cheats" the system - it's not one guy, it's several.

Just some wanted some clarifications on how things are working now.
1. Didn't know you could change your character name from the Steam one. How do you do that?
2. Shouldn't any banning be by account not character name?
3. Are character names if they aren't Steam names unique? If not, why not?
4. Are you able to track how often an account is being used to TK? At some point delete the account?

1) You can alter your character name in-game without changing the Steam profile name. It's very handy and really a great boon, at least until we can properly set it in-game.
2) Bans are applied via SteamID, the account.

Err Trusty/Fancy will have to answer the final two.

Hopefully with the 'multiple people named the same thing' servers will soon force people's names to change to (1), (2), (3), etc if they are a duplicate of someone in the server.
