Fridays don't trend tot draw a lot of people, however if word gets out numbers might hop on (hence my questions if a 2nd server should get filled)

Since this a stress test, organisation & factions are less of an importance.
Sidenote : bigger orgs are usually victim of their succes, meaning they can,'t always fit a faction/event (otherwise as Maj,.Stone pointes out IT Will block off a part of the community)

Ah! this complaining about large organisations, what is the point that is how it went 2 years ago and I haven't seen any different until now. I have no complains about big organisations , it would be smarter to have more smaller organisations as that would make things more manageable to spread over different servers. Just seek the people you have fun with and play the game. Going back to this community bickering only brings drama let everyone do their thing makes sense that the Texans stick together as do the 6th LA.

The server will probably be called something like "200 Player Stress Test", otherwise just look for the server where the max playercount says 200 instead of 150.
The server will at first be running Antietam skirmishes, though we might try other gamemodes and maps further into the weekend.
The purpose of this test is not to satisfy peoples desire to experience WoR on a larger scale but to test how well our current systems work with larger player counts so we will not be starting an additional 200 player server when hopefully the 200 player server gets filled up.
The test will most likely be running over the entire weekend
It is fairly likely that as we start testing, once the server goes past 150 players it will crash. We already have a fairly good idea of what might cause such a crash, but for now we'll wait and see how it goes and if it does crash, we'll most likely be deploying a fix to the server within 10 minutes and restarting it.
Regular servers will of course still be available and joinable during this test.
Does it really matter if you can't get in to play on the server? If 1st TX and II Corps are able to fill it there are PLENTY of other servers that can fit everyone else in.
Quite bizarre how people want linear warfare but want even more porous maps that we have now.
"Twenty-five more players per team?!?! Let's double the map size" Because the main tactic isn't just bum-rushing an empty space of the map already. viking.gif
