    Unlimited ammo

Not sure if it's a bug or now is the lay of the land but since last patch we have been unable to have unlimited ammo turned on even with the config file value set for it. Just noticed it last night during our drill.

    Hello,

Yes we disabled this cvar as it broke balance due to unlimited revolver shots - especially in skirmishes where one team has access to dismounted cav (with revolvers) and the other team doesnt.

Sounds good, wasn't sure. Thank you for replying!

I have no idea about programming but is it possible in the future to have it enabled only when drill camps are being used?

We may look into adding something specific for the drill camps at some point, yeah.

Maybe for the crazed gunslinging revolver users, laying down continous fire and killing off entire charges of enemies - not so much fun for anyone else though.

But it's a private server and they can do what they want. A lot of the little drill servers are set to unlimited ammo and this screws us on the union side. Also a lot of people wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what happened because this wasn't announced as a change. What's the point of having private servers and paying through the nose for them if the devs are going to meddle in them?

Why not add it back now? It's a function that can be turned off, so if they don't want it in events, they just have to change the value. Or better yet, to make it simple for the server admins, make it one of the options available on the in-game admin panel (like weather and time of day).

While I can understand that you may want to limit what happens on the public servers, I don't think it is wise to micromanage the private servers that we pay for by removing an option that we want to have available to us.

    +1

Now target practice on Union ranges will be tedious with running back from spawn.[/COLOR]

If we do not get this ability back then we NEED a spawn point at the Union range ASAP or move the range near the main spawn ASAP.
We run out of ammo within 15 minutes of shooting and then have to respawning and run over for another 5 minutes or so.
