    Corfu Treaty
On the island of Corfu representatives from Albania, Greece and Northern Epirus meet to disscuss what is to be done about the situation in Northern Epirus. Deliberations went on for days but eventually the different parties came to an agreement.

    1. The Principality of Albania gives up all claims on the territory of Northern Epirus in favour of the Republic of Northern Epirus.
    2. The Hellenic Republic signs a non-aggression treaty with the Principality of Albania.

The Hellenic Republic is happy that the conflict could find a peaceful reasonable solution unlike other concurrent conflicts.

    "Indivisibiliter ac Inseparabiliter"

    Our Chief of Staff murdered
During the early hours of the 5th our esteemed Chief of Staff was brutally and maliciously attacked by a man belonging to a Yugoslavian movement known as the Black hand. The attack resulted in this magnanimous man dying on the 11th as Doctors were unable to save his life. It is no surprise that the Serbian government is one of the Black hand's greatest supporters and patrons and investigations led by the police that lasted 2 weeks found documents pertaining to a wider conspiracy with Franz Ferdinand and Franz Josef being future targets. It is at this point where we could no longer tolerate the devious actions of this group and so members of our home cabinet declared a state of emergency and mobilised troops to protect Government buildings, officials and of course the royal family. In this state of anarchy and unrest as reported by the news we had found it necessary to mobilise in order to protect civilians. The police force was critically understaffed and so we decided to mobilise in order to assist in peacekeeping duties. Indeed it is likely that without such decisive action more chaos would have ensued and we could have been facing widespread upheaval. Our investigation was thorough as it was in our best interests to avoid war when our chief of staff was killed. It is rather ridiculous that we should kill our own chief of staff for the sake of declaring war. Surely the death of such a man would hamper our ability to wage war? Sense and trust are things that cannot be found in the Balkan league as will be discussed further.

    War
The Austro-Hungarian Empire with due deliberation declared war on Serbia and her allies. War was extended to her allies as it was anticipated that whatever move we made to secure justice would be perceived as offensive or unjust. Regardless we declared war in an appropriate fashion and in accordance with Article I of the Hague Convention. This procedure that is agreed upon by all nations was ignored by the Balkan League who sailed out of port and decimated the Bulgarian navy who was neutral. It is no surprise that the Balkan league does not value the sovereignty of their neighbours as Albania had their land unlawfully taken and occupied by Greek soldiers for a period of time. The Greeks assure the world that this was agreed upon by Albania. We find ti hard to believe that the Albanians saw any other choice as the Greeks were evidently already mobilised (possibly mobilised before us) and the Albanians could not refuse if tensions escalated. It appears this move was coercive and the agreement was dictated to the Albanians. We would like to add that the Russians still have yet to issue a formal declaration of war to the Bulgarians. The Serbs do not declare war on us but instead declare annihilation among other things, this is simply a testament to their brutality and how we are justified in our actions. It is also alarming that the Russian army was able to mobilise this quickly and fight, this suggests that the Russians may have indeed been planning their own attack and could have cooperated with Balkan powers on an attack against us. A theory that has been circulated is as follows; Balkan league invades Austria after the successful assassination of our Chief of staff (causing disorganisation in the military) in order to seize our rightful territory.

    Ultimatums
We have yet to see justice for the murder of our chief of staff and the repetition of hostilities regarding our nation. We therefore decline France's ultimatum and we find that this war will not end until we achieve victory. We would also like to remind Britain that this new treaty is tantamount to a declaration of war. If the Balkan League wants peace then we will only oblige if our conditions are met:
    1. The Serbian Government is to resign and allow Austro-Hungarian officials to set up a regency government until a new and less radical government is formed.
    2. 30% of Serbia's army is to be confined to quarters during this period to prevent armed coups against the newly formed government that will be elected from Serb nationals.
    3. Austrian troops will help maintain order by being given the same powers as the Serbian police but will answer to our government.
    4. Bulgaria is to be fully re-compensated for their loss by way of reparations and ceding an amount of naval power yet to be decided.

We will not back down until we are adequately compensated for the repeated attacks on our nation, the assassination of Conrad von Hötzendorf was the last straw and we cannot afford to be subject to more killings that threaten the stability of our empire. Until our conditions are met, we do not see fit to end the war that we are currently winning.

    Capture of Belgrade
Austrian High command was congratulated by Emperor Franz Josef himself upon the capture of the Serbian capital. Members of the General staff proclaimed that what was achieved during the offensive was both impressive and admirable as we were able to combat the enemy in such harsh conditions and still enjoy relative success. Support for the war is strong both at home and abroad, although we have suffered some setbacks we also achieved immense victories such as the seizing of Belgrade, notably the place where Serbia's despicable plan was conjured. Our armies are determined to see this through to Austrian victory and High command is confident that this conclusion is foreseeable. We have defied the stereotype of our forces being incapable and have instead written a new precedent on the field of battle. We have now created a formidable reputation as an extremely able fighting force and we are sure to enjoy more successes in the future. The Jaeger units of or army distinguished themselves and cheered "Numquam retro" as they entered the city of Belgrade. Our army has successfully fought four nations simultaneously and have defeated all of them including the Russian giant through strength of arms. Featured below are some of our Jaeger units advancing to the enemy front line.

    Denmark Mobilizes

With the British Empire’s and Republic of France’s announcement of mobilization. The Kingdom of Denmark Now sees no other option but to do the same, in the interest of protecting its sovereignty. A general European War is on the horizon and Denmark will be prepared to weather the store and protect its allies. At this moment, Extended Mobilization is now being put into effect in the Danish Kingdom.

    German Ultimatum
The German Kaiser speaks of Peace, but prepares for war. Germanys Ally is fighting an offensive War without reason, without showing convincing evidence of the Serbian involvement in the Assasination.
They are to be not involved in the War Austria unjustly started.
We demand that Germany recalls their armies, retracts their mobilisation and lets Austria-Hungary fight this war on its own, to preserve the peace in Europe.
Germany has 24 hours to meet these demands, otherwise the Great Russian Empire will declare War to protect itself against the Prussian War machine.

    Serbian government ignores ultimatum
The Serbian government, upon hearing the terms of such a disagreeable ultimatum (designed, no doubt, with the intent of being rejected), promptly put it at the bottom of its queue to be discussed. More pressing matters, such as the rail reform and which wine will be served with the traditional Easter dinner, are of more importance at the moment. Also, Serbia wishes to have Austria Hungary's evidence of state sponsored terrorism brought forward. To say one has evidence is one thing, to have it is quite another.

    DER DEUTSCHE REICHSKANZLER
    Reichskanzlei, Berlin

    Germany declares war

In response to the Russian ultimatum, the following message was delivered to the Russian government by the German ambassador in Saint Petersburg yesterday evening:

The Imperial German Government have used every effort since the beginning of the crisis to bring about a peaceful settlement. In compliance with a wish expressed to him by His Majesty the Emperor of Russia, the German Emperor had undertaken, in concert with Great Britain, the part of mediator between the Cabinets of Vienna and the Balkan League; but Russia, without waiting for any result, proceeded to a general ultimatum against our government. In consequence of this threatening step, which was not justified by any military proceedings on the part of Germany, the German Empire was faced by a grave and imminent danger. If the German Government had failed to guard against this peril, they would have compromised the safety and the very existence of Germany. The German Government were, therefore, obliged to make representations to the Government of His Majesty the Emperor of All the Russias and to insist upon a cessation of the aforesaid military acts. Russia having refused to comply with this demand, and having shown by this refusal that her action was directed against Germany in principle and not in the matter, I have the honour, on the instructions of my government, to inform your Excellency as follows:

His Majesty the Emperor, my august Sovereign, in the name of the German Empire and the German people, accepts the challenge and considers himself at war with Russia.

His Majesty The Kaiser personally addressed his subjects in a public proclamation from the balcony of the Royal Palace in Berlin:

“A momentous hour has struck for Germany. Envious rivals everywhere force us to legitimate defence. The sword has been forced into our hands. I hope that in the event that my efforts to the very last moment do not succeed in bringing our opponents to reason and in preserving peace, we may use the sword, with the help of God, so that we may sheathe it again with honour. War will demand enormous sacrifices by the German people, but we shall show the enemy what it means to attack Germany. And so I commend you to God. Go forth into the churches, kneel down before God, and implore his help for our brave army.

Since the foundation of the Empire, it has been for forty-three years the object of the efforts of myself and my ancestors to preserve the peace of the world and to advance by peaceful means our vigorous development. But our adversaries were jealous of the successes of our work. There has been latent hostility on the east and on the west and beyond the sea. It was borne by us till now, as we were aware of our responsibility and power. Now, however, these adversaries wish to humiliate us, asking that we should look on with crossed arms and watch our enemies preparing themselves for a coming attack. They will not suffer that we maintain resolute fidelity to our ally who is fighting for its position as a great power and with whose humiliation our power and honour would equally be lost. So the sword must decide.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the expression of your loyalty and your esteem. When it comes to war, all parties cease and we are all brothers. One or another party has attacked me in peacetime, but now I forgive them wholeheartedly. From this point on, I know no parties, only Germans! If our neighbours do not give us peace, then we hope and wish that our good German sword will come victorious out of this war.

Therefore to arms! Any dallying, any temporizing would be which our fathers founded; to be or not to be, is the question for the empire which our fathers founded. To be or not to be German power and German existence. We shall resist to the last breath of man and horse, and shall fight out the struggle even against a world of enemies. Never has Germany been subdued when it was united. Forward with God, who will be with us as He was with our ancestors!"

    Death of Conrad von Hötzendorf

It is well known that Conrad von Hötzendorf was no friend of the Balkan nations. His death will not be mourned by the people in Montenegro. With that said, we played no part in his assassination. It is unfortunate that the death of this one man will lead to the deaths of thousands of more Austrians.

    Mobilization
Montenegro will call all reserves and fully mobilize. We also urge the people of Montenegro to volunteer and help defend our beatiful nation from the unjust Austrian aggressors.

    World Support
The people of Montenegro thank France an the United Kingdom for their support in trying to end this war, but it is clear that is not Austria's wish.

    -Montenegro moves to full mobilization
    -Montenegro calls for volunteers
-Montenegro formally declares war on Austria and Bulgaria

    "Dieu Et Mon Droit"

    Closure of the Austrian Embassy
The Austro-Hungarian has refused the British ultimatum of halting their advance and aggressive action against the Balkan countries. They have stated their refusal to cease unless they receive compensation for the death of Conrad von Hotzendorf. Despite a flawed investigation, lack of objective evidence released to the public, and no evidence of Montenegrin and Romanian involvement, the Austrians have declared war on 4 countries. The Austrian Kaiser has demands compensation, but what compensation does he truly wish for? The "Wards of Britain" treaty calls for merely the existence of independent and intact Balkan countries. Refuting this means the Austrian Kaiser and His Government refute the existence and territorial integrity of the Balkan states. The only compensation that can therefore avenge their assassinated and remedy this fact is the annexation of the Balkan states. With this refutation, the Austrians have made clear their designs to annex Serbia, and their attacks on Romania and Montenegro point to further ambitions of annexation as well. The ultimatum to Serbia, which effectively reduces them to a vassal state, further proves that the Austrians plan to continue until the whole of the Balkans falls under their dominion. This is aggressive expansion on European peoples. The British Empire will not deal with aggressive and hostile conquerors. Effective at the end of the day, the Austro-Hungarian embassy shall be closed and its staff sent to Belgium for repatriation back to their Empire.

    Naval Patrols
In order to keep the seas safe the Royal Navy shall increase the frequency of naval patrols and armed escort sorties throughout Europe's waters. Armed escorts and trade protection sorties will take place in nearly every major European Sea, from the Red Sea to the Arctic Sea. The Royal Navy intends on keeping the peace at sea and, to make it perfectly clear, will not take any offensive or hostile action unless harassed or fired upon directly. Attacks on British shipping and trade will not be taken lightly.

God Save the Empire, and God Save King George!

    - The Austro-Hungarian Embassy is closed
    - Armed Escorts and naval patrols will increase in frequency

The Ottoman Empire informs of Actions taken to Protect its Territory

    دولت ابد مدت
    "The Eternal State"

Note on Shipping in the Sovereign Territory of the Ottoman Empire
With the Announcment of Frequent Patrols by the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire sees fit to inform Nations intending to take to the Seas in the Vicinity of the Territory of the Ottoman Empire of the Instructions to the Coastal Protection Elements of the Ottoman Empire. The Coastal Protection Elements are ordered to Open Fire upon Armed Intrudors to the Ottoman Sovereign Territory. Merchant shipping is excluded of these Orders, as Merchant ships are not expected to be armed. If the opposite is the case, the Ottoman Empire reserves itself the right to take the Actions it deems appropriate. The Ottoman Empire thusly encourages the Adhering to International Borders.
