    No problem, Sir.

    BTW.

Major General Franz Sigel, Col. Friedrich Hecker and Col. Paul Frank are from Baden

Were German immigrants to the US and Canada come more from any specific areas of Germany?

I am not sure but the well known one and a bigger wave of immigrants came from grand dutchy Baden (My lovely homeland <3 )

Major General Franz Sigel and Colonel Friedrich Hecker started here in 1848/49 a revolution to create a republic in Baden, unite the German states and give every citizen human rights (Not literally the actual rights but it was very close to)

Colonel Paul Frank was a friend of Franz Sigel and so he give his battalion the name "Sigel Rifles". After the German Rangers and the Sigel Rifles merged together to the 52nd New York, he was the Colonel and thats why the 52nd has two nicknames.

    Back to your question.

I think the most immigrants are from Baden and Prussia.

I will research it to give you a correct answer.

Don't forget my ancestor Joseph Leitner, the first cotton farmer in America
