The 52nd New York honors 1st Sergeant John Leonhard for all his commitment towards the Company during his carreer among the German Rangers. For his merit he got promoted to Quartermaster-Sergeant of the Regiment. CONGRATULATIONS!
On a personal note, we hereby honor QMS Leonhards devotion towards our community. Sadly he cannot any longer be an active member of the 52nd but he definatly still deserves a place among our unit as he was an outstanding member of the German Rangers with a high reputation and a real friend to some of the company. We will miss you Brother! And you know you are always welcome!
The 52nd New York enjoyed last weeks Drill together with our Enemy-Ours the 18th North Carolina. They surely enjoyed real uniforms for once!
Latest Engagements
The 52nd took part in some TGV organized skirmishes. Its always fun to play and struggle with and against our fellow German Volunteers of the 18thNC, 20thNY and 8thAL. Cheers guys!

RECENT PROMOTIONS AMONG THE "GERMAN RANGERS"
The Company Staff congratulates all promoted, well deserved soldiers!
Private William Meyerhoff made the Service Level of Veteran
Private Friedrich Fleischer made the Service Level of Regular
The Company enjoyed some skillful Drill Events together with the "German Volunteers" of the A-Company of the 18th North Carolina. In turn we put their tatters on and hoped to fill the correct holes with the fitting bodypart.
LATEST ENGAGEMENTS
The 52nd New York saw some serious and organized battles entangled in the "Grand Campaign" organized by members of the 1st South Carolina Infantry. We are very grateful to be part of these Events and are happy to fight with and against new friends from over the pond. Salute to all participating Companies of the "Grand Campaign".
This being said, we are also keen on playing again with our European Brothers in Arms of the UEC. These fine Events have come to a halt to a certain degree because of the participation of "The German Volunteers"-Companies in the "Grand Campaign". But "TGV" found a solution to revive these most excellent Skirmishes now held on the fridays. The Rangers are extremely looking forward to fighting at these Events again.
Most recently a detail of the 52nd was commanded to attend the ceremony for a well known and honored man of the WoR Community. Maj. Stone is temporarily replaced by now Captain Tindall of the 42nd Pennsylvania "Buck Tails". We salute you!

Gentlemen,
William Meyerhoff, Private, Company A, 52nd New York Volunteer Infantry an den Kommandeur Brigadegeneral Israel B. Richardson, 3rd Brigade, 1st Divison, 2nd Corps, Army of the Potomac"
