    You're dealing with two different entities.

    30-50 men per company= in the field, after attrition through battle, disease, desertion. That's what the video is alluding to.

    The actual paper strength of a company through regulations, including officers, NCOs, musicians, etc= 100.

    I generally think they do good work with the short clips, but in this I think they could be more clear.

    I agree with "FirstDiv2Corps" that the numbers he mention are how it was after they had been in service from some time... not when fist organized. But since he is rahter unclear in this - it can be understood so.

    If you read their own webpage it clearly say "usually consisted of 1000 men when first organized"
